The Art of Wheat
Weaving
Sunday October 5th, 8:30
to noon

Descriptio
Learn basic skills in the ancient art of weaving
wheat straw. This traditional craft has been practiced all over the world
since the beginnings of agriculture, with designs ranging from the most
simple to incredibly elaborate patterns. We will teach you a simple harvest
favor from the British Isles, and give you a short history of the craft and
its position in the daily life of the average Elizabethan peasant. You will
take home your own creation, and receive follow-up materials and a resource
list. All materials supplied.
